Martin is a founding Director of the Sierra Group, responsible for strategic development of the business, new sales and technical consulting and support.

Martin brings 30 years experience in communications covering most aspects of the telephony and Internet industries to his role with Sierra. He played a leading role for Telstra in the development of the digital voice network in Australia, and more recently has been instrumental in reshaping the international connectivity of the Internet into Australia.

He was the joint founder and Technical Director of Paradox Digital Pty Ltd, making a key contribution to facilitating its growth to become the largest independent Internet Wholesale network in Australia. Paradox was the first Australian company to introduce Satellite carriage of Internet traffic, and had the first Australian Internet Company Point of Presence established in the USA.

Prior to his entrepreneurial activities with Paradox, Martin was a consulting Engineer throughout the South East Asian region, consulting to clients such as the Asian Development Bank and companies such as Telstra in Australia, Pohang Iron & Steel in Korea and China Light and Power in Hong Kong.

In a divergence from engineering, he also spent three years selling and presenting Personal Development seminars in Western Australia.

Mr Davis has a first class Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Australia and holds directorships on the boards of several technology companies.

Martin is married with two adult daughters. He is an avid pilot, flying Gliders cross country or powered aerobatics whenever possible.
